DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its weekly NCAA Division II National Players of the Week awards for the period ending March 11th. Southwest Baptist sophomore catcher Drew Miller is the National Hitter of the Week while University of the Sciences junior righthander Dan McMahon is the National Pitcher of the Week.

Drew Miller (Neosho, Mo.) led the Bearcats to a 6-0 record this past week, sweeping Central Methodist and MIAA opponent Lincoln. Miller hit .625 from the plate over the past week, with 15 RBI, 11 runs scored, seven doubles, and two homeruns. Miller had a hit, RBI, run scored, and extra-base hit in every game this week while slugging 1.167.
