UCLA (46-5) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 29th year with its 2026 weekly surveys.

The UCLA Bruins (now 26-1 in conference play) had their Big Ten Conference-record of 25 consecutive league victories ended by No. 15 Oregon last Saturday but remain atop the poll for the 11th consecutive week. North Carolina is No. 2 for the fourth week in a row, while Georgia Tech, Georgia and Auburn grabbed the remaining top five positions, respectively. LSU, in preseason and on Feb. 23, is the only other Division I member besides the Bruins to gain the No. 1 spot in the ratings this spring.

Some of the top movers from the week 13 to week 14 polls are Southern Miss from No. 12 to 8, West Virginia from No. 14 to 9, Florida State from No. 13 to 10, Arkansas from No. 16 to 12, USC from No. 17 to 14, Ole Miss from No. 23 to 20 and Nebraska and Oklahoma from receiving votes last week back into the Top 25.

The Southeastern Conference (nine schools) leads all circuits among the survey while the Atlantic Coast, Big Ten and Big 12 each sport four places among the top 25.

There have been seven conferences (six this week plus independent Oregon State) represented in the first 14 standings of 2026, and there were 10 different conferences in the 2025 NCBWA polls.

The 2026 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’26 season features 308 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools, and for more information or to join the NCBWA, please go to ncbwa.com.
