DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 29th year with its 2026 weekly surveys.

UCLA, despite having the Division I-longest winning streak of 27 games ended by UC Santa Barbara on April 14, continues to top the survey for the eighth consecutive week. The Bruins, 36-3 overall and a conference-record 21-0 in the Big Ten, lead No. 2 North Carolina (its top rating in 2026), No. 3 Georgia Tech, No. 4 Texas, and No. 5 Georgia (moving up from No. 6 last week) among the Top Five.

Some of the risers from the Week Nine to Week 10 polls are Virginia from No. 19 to 14, Big 12 Conference leader Kansas from No. 23 to 17, Ole Miss from No. 22 to 19 and Nebraska from No. 24 to 20. Several schools climbed two places in the NCBWA Top 25, while all 25 members of the April 13 survey remained among the April 20 Top 25.

Southeastern Conference (10 schools) and Atlantic Coast Conference (five teams) currently occupy 15 of the Top 25 places with the Big Ten holding four slots and the Big 12 placing three teams.

There have been seven conferences (five this week plus independent Oregon State) represented in the first 10 standings of 2026, and there were 10 different conferences in the 2025 NCBWA polls.

The 2026 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’26 season features 308 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools, and for more information or to join the NCBWA, please go to ncbwa.com.
