NCBWA NJCAA Polls: Week 5 (Feb. 24)

DALLAS (NCBWA) – Johnson County, Jones College and Dallas College Eastfield are ranked No. 1 in their respective NCBWA Junior College Baseball poll entering the fifth week of the season.

Johnson County (15-1) is ranked No. in NCBWA NJCAA Division I poll for the second straight week. The Cavaliers have reeled off 11 straight wins and lead the nation with 38 home runs.

Jones College (12-3) has taken over the top spot in the NCBWA NJCAA Division II poll. The Bobcats are led on offense by Chase Russell (.500, 6 HR, 22 RBI, 1.095 Slugging) and Sanders Ainsworth (.415, 5 HR, 25 RBI, .848 slugging).

Pearl River (12-4) had held down the No. 1 spot for the first four week of the season.

Dallas College Eastfield (12-3) moves up to the No. 1 spot with the most wins NJCAA Division III teams. Dallas College Eastfield has won three straight games and leads all Division III teams with 101 runs scored.
