Tampa (26-2) tops NCBWA Division II Poll

WINGATE, N.C. (NCBWA) – For the sixth straight week, the University of Tampa Spartans received every first-place vote, sitting atop the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) top 25 in the seventh poll of the 2024 regular season. The Spartans are 26-2 on the season and have been the top-ranked team in all seven in-season NCBWA polls this year, after checking in at #3 in the preseason poll.

The top 10 teams this week are the same as last week, while Northwest Nazarene moved up one spot to number 11. East Stroudsburg jumped from #17 to #12, while Colorado Mesa made the jump from 23rd to 13th, followed at #14 by Augustana, moving up six spots from last week’s poll. Lee also jumped seven spots from #22 to 15th this week.

Mount Olive is new to this week’s poll, checking in at #16 after being the first team out of last week’s top 25 poll. Five of the final six spots in this week’s poll are new teams, led by #20 Barton. Pittsburg State is 24th in this week’s poll after not receiving a vote last week.

The NCBWA Region polls will be announced every Monday throughout the season, with a new top 25 national poll coming out every Wednesday.
