DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 27th year with its 2024 weekly surveys.
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (6-1) remain No. 1 for the third week in succession as the Nos. 1-7 places stayed the same from the Feb. 19 NCBWA Division I survey. Texas A&M climbed from ninth to eighth over the last seven days.
Some of the big movers from week two to week three were Duke from No. 12 to 9, Alabama from No. 18 to 15 and Indiana, Coastal Carolina, Campbell and UC Irvine from receiving votes into placements in the Nos. 21-25 range.
There have been 11 conferences (10 this week) represented in the first three standings of 2024, and there were 15 different conferences in the 2023 NCBWA polls.
The 2024 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation.
The ’24 season features 305 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Dick Howser Trophy, Regional Players of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors Division I Players of the Week, the Stopper of the Year, and publication and writing contests.
