Tampa (9-0) tops NCBWA Division II Poll

WINGATE, N.C. (NCBWA) – The second in-season NCBWA Division II Poll of the 2024 season has been released, and there is a unanimous number one team in the University of Tampa Spartans. Off to a 9-0 start to the season, Tampa is the top-ranked team for the second straight week, with 9-1 North Greenville checking in at number two. Central Missouri and Indianapolis follow, with 10-0 UNC Pembroke rounding out the top five.

West Texas A&M, off to a 10-2 start, jumped from 19th last week to number eight, while Central Oklahoma and Saint Leo went from 20th and 21st to ninth and 10th, respectively. Off to a 3-0 start to the season, Molloy checks in at number 15 in this week’s poll after receiving votes last week. At 10-0 on the year, Barton is also new to the poll at number 18.

Four more new teams to this week’s poll include number 19 Northwest Nazarene at 7-1-1, #20 Southern Arkansas at 8-2, #21 West Chester and 23rd-ranked Goldey-Beacom, the only team to go from not receiving any votes in last week’s poll to cracking this week’s top 25.

The NCBWA Region polls will be announced every Monday throughout the season, with a new top 25 national poll coming out every Wednesday.
