Pittsburg State (19-1) tops NCBWA Division II Poll

WINGATE, N.C. (NCBWA) – There is a new number one team in the country for the first time this season, with Pittsburg State taking over the top spot in the week five NCBWA Division II top 25 poll, which was released Wednesday afternoon. Off to a 19-1 start on the season, Pittsburg State picked up 11 of the 20 first-place votes.

Tampa drops out of the top spot for the first time since 2025, checking in at number two with six first-place votes, while North Greenville jumps three spots up to number three, collecting the other three first-place votes. Colorado Mesa and Grand Valley State round out the top five, with GVSU moving up three spots this week.

Catawba and Central Missouri are sixth and seventh, while Point Loma is up five spots to number eight. West Alabama is up one spot to number nine, while Young Harris jumps up seven spots to round out this week’s top 10.

Angelo State is up three spots to #13, while Rollins jumps six spots to number 14. Francis Marion jumps up 10 spots in this week’s poll, checking in at #15.

There are five new teams in this week’s poll, led by #16 Wayne State and #18 Augustana. Southern New Hampshire is 21st, while Trevecca and Rogers State join the poll at 23rd and 24t, respectively.

The NCBWA Region polls will be announced every Monday throughout the season, while national polls will come out every Wednesday.
