WINGATE, N.C. (NCBWA) – Off to a 5-0 start to the 2026 season, the back-to-back national champion Tampa Spartans remain the number one team in the NCBWA Division II Top 25, which was released Wednesday morning. The Spartans received 19 of the 20 first-place votes, after being the unanimous number one team in the preseason poll.
Central Missouri stays at number two in this week’s poll, while North Greenville jumps 10 spots, checking in at No. 3, while receiving one first-place vote. UT Tyler and Lenoir-Rhyne round out the top five this week.
Pittsburg State also moves up 10 spots, ranking sixth this week thanks to a 7-0 start to the season. East Stroudsburg stays at seven, with Cal State Monterey Bay, Northwood and West Florida rounding out the top 10.
Westmont jumps up 10 spots to rank No. 14 this week. There are five new teams in the poll, led by No. 17 Lee and No. 18 St. Edward’s. Belmont Abbey, Barry and MSU Denver also join the poll at Nos. 21, 22 and 23.
The NCBWA Region polls will be announced every Monday throughout the season, while national polls will come out every Wednesday.
