DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 28th year with its 2025 weekly surveys.
2023 NCAA champion LSU is No. 1 again this week, though Southeastern Conference tourney champion and No. 1 NCAA Championship seed Vanderbilt jumped from No. 9 to 3. Atlantic Coast Conference winner North Carolina now occupies the No. 2 position while No. 4 Texas and No. 5 Arkansas have been ranked as high as No. 1 in this topsy-turvy 2025 season.
Some of the other big movers from week 15 to week 16 were Coastal Carolina from No. 12 to 10, Southern Miss from No. 18 to 13, SEC runner-up Ole Miss from receiving votes to No. 17, Florida from No. 19 to 15 and Big 12 postseason champ Arizona from receiving votes to No. 24, among others.
All 16 NCAA Regional hosts denoted for 2025 are members of the NCBWA DI Top 25 this week.
There have been 10 conferences and independents (nine this week) represented in the first 15 standings of 2025, and there were 12 different conferences appearing in the 2024 NCBWA polls.
The NCBWA Division I poll will be compiled again on Tuesday, June 3, for the next-to-last ballot prior to the conclusion of the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 22 or 23 and the final Top 25 survey.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Dick Howser Trophy, Regional Players of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors Division I Players of the Week, the Stopper of the Year, and publication and writing contests.
