LSU (42-13) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 28th year with its 2025 weekly surveys.

2023 NCAA champion LSU remains No. 1 after winning two of three road games against South Carolina, while Texas still stands at No. 2. North Carolina edged ahead of No. 4 Florida State for the third position after a pair of wins in Tallahassee, Florida, last week. Arkansas is No. 5 for the second week in a row.

Some of the other big movers from week 14 to week 15 were Coastal Carolina from No. 15 to 12, Alabama from No. 20 to 15, Florida from No. 25 to 19 and Northeastern, ACC regular-season champion Georgia Tech and Duke to Nos. 23-25 after previously receiving votes. CAA champ Northeastern enters the conference tournament season with a NCAA-season-most 24 consecutive victories.

There have been 10 conferences and independents (nine this week) represented in the first 14 standings of 2025, and there were 12 different conferences appearing in the 2024 NCBWA polls
