Arkansas (40-9) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 28th year with its 2025 weekly surveys.

Arkansas jumped back into first place in the survey after sweeping previous No. 1 Texas last weekend in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Texas dropped to No. 2 while LSU moved up one spot to No. 3 ahead of Atlantic Coast powers North Carolina (open last week due to semester exams) and Florida State, respectively, to round out the Top Five.

Some of the other big movers from week 12 to week 13 besides Arkansas moving up five places were North Carolina from No. 8 to 4, Oregon from No. 19 to 10 and NC State from receiving votes to No. 22.

There have been nine conferences and independents (eight this week) represented in the first 12 standings of 2025, and there were 12 different conferences appearing in the 2024 NCBWA polls.

The 2025 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’25 season features 307 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools, and for more information or to join the NCBWA, please go to ncbwa.com.
