Wake Forest (42-8) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 25th year with its 2023 weekly surveys. 

Wake Forest remained at No. 1 for the second week in a row after LSU ruled the roost for the first 12 Division I surveys this spring. Arkansas is ranked second for the first time in ’23. 

Some of the big movers from Weeks 13 to 14 of the regular-season surveys are Florida from No. 6 to 3, West Virginia from No. 13 to 6, Clemson from No. 21 to 13, DBU from No. 17 to 14, Southern Miss from No. 29 to 24, Washington from receiving votes to No. 25, Indiana State from No. 30 to 26 and Auburn from receiving votes to No. 28, among others. 

There have been 14 conferences (11 this week) represented in the first 12 standings of 2023, and there were 14 different conferences in the 2022 NCBWA polls.
