FWAA Nagurski Legends Award

The Bronko Nagurski Trophy is presented annually by the Charlotte Touchdown Club and the Football Writers Association of America to the nation's most outstanding NCAA defensive football player at the Bronko Nagurski Awards Banquet in Charlotte, N.C. Since the Bronko Nagurski Trophy was established in 1993, the two organizations now go back and honor a past great defensive player from prior to time the Bronko Nagurski Trophy was first awarded. Thus, there is an annual recipient of the Bronko Nagurski Legends Award presented alongside the award for the national defensive player of the year.
