Jilbert, Long are NCBWA Division II National Players of the Week

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its NCAA Division II National Players of the Week awards for the week ending on April 14, 2024.  William Jewell junior outfielder Evan Jilbert, is the National Hitter of the Week and Harding senior righty Maddox Long is the National Pitcher of the Week.

Tampa (34-4) tops NCBWA Division II Poll

For the 10th straight week, the University of Tampa Spartans are the top-ranked team in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) top 25 poll. Tampa received all 20 first-place votes, making this the eighth time UT has been the unanimous number one team this season. The Spartans are 34-4 on the season and have been the top-ranked team in every in-season NCBWA poll this year, after checking in at #3 in the preseason poll.

Givhans, Reistetter and Sill are NCBWA Division III National Players of the Week

Home runs and going the extra mile for a team on the mound caught the attention of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association NCAA Div. III Weekly Awards Committee, which announced its honors for games played April 8-14 on Wednesday. Please note there is a second honorable mention Pitcher of the Week due to a voting tie and both honorable mention selections having the same number of first-, second-, and third-place votes.

Georgia's Condon, Texas A&M's Cortez are Dick Howser Trophy National Players of the Week

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Dick Howser Trophy National Player of the Week awards presented by The Game Headwear for the period ending April 14. Georgia redshirt sophomore third baseman Charlie Condon was named National Hitter of the Week, while Texas A&M junior right-handed pitcher Chris Cortez was named National Pitcher of the Week.

Texas A&M (32-4) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

Texas A&M has achieved its first No. 1 ranking this spring while Arkansas, the leader from March 18-April 8, dropped to No. 3 behind No. 2 Tennessee. The Aggies are the fourth team to achieve No. 1 this year, joining Wake Forest, Oregon State and the Razorbacks.

Schuler, Morawski are NCBWA Division II National Players of the Week

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its NCAA Division II National Players of the Week awards for the week ending on April 7, 2024. MSU Denver senior infielder Zach Schuler, is the National Hitter of the Week and Grand Valley State sophomore lefty Mike Morawski is the National Pitcher of the Week.

Schroeder, Blake and Eilbacher are NCBWA Division III National Players of the Week

A two-grand slam week, a 17-strikeout outing, and a rookie on an offensive tear captured the week seven National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association NCAA Div. III weekly honors. This week’s selections were chosen based on performances for games played April 1-7.

For the ninth straight week, the University of Tampa Spartans are the top-ranked team in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) top 25 poll. The Spartans are 31-4 on the season and have been the top-ranked team in every in-season NCBWA poll this year, after checking in at #3 in the preseason poll. This is the first time since the week one poll on Feb. 14 that the Spartans have not been the unanimous number one team, with Central Missouri picking up a first-place vote in this week’s poll.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has named its Dick Howser Trophy Players of the Month for March, presented by The Game Headwear, tabbing Oregon State infielder Travis Bazzana its National Hitter of the Month and Arkansas left-hander Hagen Smith its National Pitcher of the Month.

Nett, Covey are NCBWA Division II National Players of the Week

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its NCAA Division II National Players of the Week awards for the week ending on March 31, 2024. Southwest Minnesota State senior outfielder Isaac Nett is the National Hitter of the Week and Concordia University Irvine redshirt-junior righty Jake Covey is the National Pitcher of the Week.

For the seventh straight week, the University of Tampa Spartans received every first-place vote, sitting atop the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) top 25 in the eighth poll of the 2024 regular season. The Spartans are 29-3 on the season and have been the top-ranked team in all eight in-season NCBWA polls this year, after checking in at #3 in the preseason poll.

Murphy, Hilker and Baxt are NCBWA Division III National Players of the Week

St. John Fisher University (New York) moved into a tie with the State University of New York at Cortland with its eighth all-time National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Div. III of the Week selection, while Oberlin College (Ohio) garnered its organization-leading fourth Rookie of the Week. An impressive pitching performance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater rounded out the honorees for games played March 25-31.

North Carolina senior first baseman Parks Harber was named National Hitter of the Week, while Washington State senior right-handed pitcher Grant Taylor was named National Pitcher of the Week.

Arkansas (23-3) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

Arkansas is No. 1 for the third consecutive week while Texas A&M climbed to a season-high No. 3 ranking. Indiana State, of the Missouri Valley Conference, made its 2024 debut at No. 25 while Big Ten Conference power Nebraska also is in its first ’24 survey at No. 23.

Charon, Maher and Middlebrooks are NCBWA Division III National Players of the Week

For the first time this season, a player with a cycle was chosen for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Div. III Hitter of the Week, while one of last week’s two nine-inning no-hitters garnered the Pitcher of the Week award. A .625 average with 11 RBI and six steals rounded out the honors for games played March 18-24 as the Rookie of the Week.
