Mon., April 16: The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 21st year with its 2018 weekly surveys. For the third-straight week the Florida Gators hold down the No. 1 spot in the poll, while the No. 2 and No. 3 teams flip, with Stanford jumping up to No. 2 and Arkansas coming in at No. 3. The Gators remain No. 1 this week after going 4-0 last week, with a series sweep over SEC foe Missouri and a midweek win over rival Florida State.

Tue., April 17: The NCBWA released its National Player of the Week awards for the period ending April 15. Miami  (Ohio) senior first baseman Ross Haffey was named National Hitter of the Week, while Harvard senior right-hander Noah Zavolas was named National Pitcher of the Week.
