Mon., May 20: The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 22nd year with its 2019 weekly surveys and this week the UCLA Bruins (45-8) ar the unanimous No. 1 selection and remain in the top spot for the 10th-straight week. The Bruins are the first team to be ranked No. 1 in the NCBWA poll for 10-straight weeks since North Carolina accomplished the feat over the first 10 regular season polls in 2013.

NCBWA unveils new logos for 2019 season

Tue., May 21: The NCBWA released its National Player of the Week awards for the period ending May 19. Stanford junior first baseman Andrew Daschbach was named National Hitter of the Week, while Ohio State redshirt freshman left-hander Seth Lonsway was named National Pitcher of the Week. The NCBWA Board reviews candidates from each Division I Conference each week and names winners each Tuesday throughout the season.
