This is the fifth installment of the Football Writers Association of America's weekly Freshman Focus for the Steve Spurrier First-Year Coach of the Year Award, Freshman Player of the Year and the 2023 FWAA Freshman All-America Team.

The Football Writers Association of America is presenting its weekly Freshman Focus for its annual freshman honors: the Steve Spurrier First-Year Coach of the Year Award, the Freshman of the Year Award and the Freshman All-America Team. The Steve Spurrier First-Year Coach Award, presented by Chris Doering Mortgage, goes to the top first-year coach (at his school) in FBS Football.

Each week during the 2022 season, we will highlight the notable performances of first-year players and head coaches leading up to the selection of our annual Freshman All-America Team and the Steve Spurrier First-Year Coach of the Year Award presented by Chris Doering Mortgage. Here are the top performances from Week 13, the weekend of Nov. 26:

DALLAS (FWAA) � Tulsa's first win over a ranked team in 10 seasons came at the expense of No. 11 UCF, and it did it by scoring the game's final 15 points and win in Orlando 34-26. The win that snapped UCF's 21-game home win streak earned the Golden Hurricane the Reveal Suits National Team of the Week honor for games of the weekend of Oct. 3 as selected by the Football Writers Association of America.
