Alabama is the winner of the Cheez-It Crunch Time Play of the Week for Week 14 for Isaiah Horton's fourth-quarter fourth-down touchdown catch to push the Crimson Tide past Auburn in the Iron Bowl, as selected by the All-America Commitee of the Football Writers Association of America.

With the game tied 20-20 in the fourth quarter after Auburn rallied from a 17-0 deficit, Alabama put together a 15-play, 75-yard drive that chewed up nearly eight minutes. Head Coach Kalen DeBoer faced a critical decision: kick a short field goal or go for it on 4th-and-2 from Auburn’s 6-yard line.
DeBoer gambled, and his quarterback Ty Simpson delivered, finding Horton in the end zone for the decisive score.
Horton, a transfer from Miami, was the hero with his third touchdown catch, joining Amari Cooper and Jaylen Waddle as the only Alabama receivers in the last 30 years to record three TD catches in an Iron Bowl.
Wtih 3:30 left in the fourth quarter, Auburn still had time to rally and drove deep into Alabama territory, but with just 33 seconds on the clock, Cam Coleman fumbled after a catch at the Tide’s 20-yard line and Alabama’s Bray Hubbard recovered, sealing the victory.
The win was Alabama’s sixth straight Iron Bowl victory and clinched a spot in the SEC Championship Game vs. Georgia.
The 2025 season marks the first year the FWAA has presented the award under its new name, the Cheez-It Crunch Time Play of the Week, spotlighting the single most decisive play from the weekend’s games. Each winning team receives a custom Cheez-It care package delivered to its campus. This the final honor of the 2025 season.
