Longhorns reclaim top spot after three weeks
TEXAS IS NO. 1 IN NCBWA POLL

DALLAS (NCBWA) The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the eighth year with its 2005 weekly surveys. Weekly polls will continue each Monday through June 28, following the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Neb.

The Texas Longhorns have rebounded from a three-game sweep at the hands of Baylor at the start of Big 12 play to win five of their last six and reclaim the No. 1 ranking in the NCBWA poll. Cal State Fullerton and Tulane stayed put at second and third while Georgia Tech, last week's top-ranked team, fell to No. 4. Florida, bolstered by a win at Florida State and three-game sweep of Kentucky, rose six spots to a season-high No. 5 ranking.
