Yellow Jackets continue torrid pace in ACC play
GEORGIA TECH IS NO. 1 IN NCBWA POLL

DALLAS (NCBWA) The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the eighth year with its 2005 weekly surveys. Weekly polls will continue each Monday through June 28, following the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Neb.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets took two of three from Miami over the weekend to vault themselves to the top of the poll. After starting the season ranked 11th, the Jackets have won 21 of their first 25 games and are now 11-1 in ACC play. The loss to Miami snapped a 25-game conference winning streak. Tech is the third school to be ranked No. 1 by the NCBWA in the last three weeks. Tulane, No. 1, a week ago, fell to No. 3.
