LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – Leaving no doubt with a 57-28 victory
over the Dallas Desperados, the Philadelphia Soul remained
No. 1 and captured all 20 first-place votes in the Schutt Sports
Top 12 Poll.
Philadelphia,
at 9-0, is the only unbeaten team. Dallas (7-1) stayed at No. 2
in the voting conducted by the Arena Football League Writers Association
(AFLWA).
The Chicago Rush (7-2) jumped up two spots to No. 3 after beating
the Colorado Crush 65-52. Chicago even moved ahead of the New Orleans
VooDoo (7-2), which dropped down a place despite a 70-56 victory
over the Utah Blaze.
Other teams that moved up were the San Jose SaberCats (5-4) from
No. 6 to No. 5, New York Dragons (5-4) from No. 8 to No. 7 and the
Arizona Rattlers (4-4) from 11th to ninth. The Tampa Bay Storm (3-5)
entered the poll at No. 10 after surprising Orlando 48-41 and dropping
the Predators (6-3) two spots to No. 6.
The Los Angeles Avengers (3-6) fell out of the rankings following
a 70-42 loss San Jose SaberCats (5-4).
