LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – It wasn't hard to figure out who the
best player in Week 15 was.
 |
| MacPherson |
Accounting for 11 touchdowns, Grand Rapids quarterback James
MacPherson was named the Arena Football League Writers Association's
Player of the Week for the second time this season (Week 4).
MacPherson completed all but eight of his 43 pass attempts for 388
yards and 10 touchdowns in the Rampage's 84-65 rout of Colorado.
He also ran in for a score and had a near-perfect passer rating
of 133.8.
His first touchdown toss came less than 2 minutes into the game
that gave Grand Rapids a 7-0 lead. His last came with 37 seconds
remaining that put away the Crush. MacPherson accounted for five
touchdowns in the second quarter alone to put the Rampage ahead
44-24 at halftime.
His favorite targets were Cole Magner (13 receptions for 111
yards and three touchdowns) and Chris Johnson (11-132-3).
The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national
