LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – It hasn't been a very fun season for
Utah quarterback Joe Germaine, but for one week, at least, that
was forgotten.

| Germaine |
Germaine passed for 337 yards and nine touchdowns in a 67-50
win over Kansas City, and as the Blaze stopped a season-long winless
streak, the Ohio State product was named the Arena Football League
Writers Association's Player of the Week for Week 10.
Utah (1-9) scored on 10 of its 10 possessions, led by Germaine
completing 24 of the 30 passes he attempted.
As bad as it has been for the Blaze, they stand just 2½ games
out of a playoff spot behind Grand Rapids with six games to play.
The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national
organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football
League. The association will name an AFL Player of the Week each
week throughout the 2007 season. The AFLWA has presented this weekly
award since its inception during the 2004 season. Mark Anderson
of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and
executive director.
