Dallas keeps pace at No. 2, but Colorado jumps up to fourth
GEORGIA TOPS SCHUTT SPORTS AFL TOP 12 POLL

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA)Georgia easily maintained the No. 1 spot in the Schutt Sports Top 12 Poll, but most of the drama occurred in the places right behind the Force.

Schutt SportsThe Dallas Desperados edged out the Chicago Rush by two points for the No. 2 position, and the Colorado Crush jumped past the San Jose SaberCats by a point in a vote by the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) that could cause some controversy.

Georgia (8-1) received 18 first-place votes and 260 points after defeating the New Orleans VooDoo 72-57. The Force hosts the No. 6 Orlando Predators (5-3), who moved up two spots following a 69-34 victory over the Las Vegas Gladiators.

Dallas (8-1) received 234 points to edge out Chicago (7-1), which had 232 points, for No. 2. The Rush did receive four first-place votes. Dallas, which beat the Nashville Kats 69-62, is at the No. 7 Utah Blaze (5-4), which fell a place following a 69-48 loss to San Jose. Chicago, a 54-43 winner over the Philadelphia Soul, hosts No. 4 Colorado (6-3).

Colorado collected 183 points to move a spot ahead of San Jose (5-3), which totaled 182 points. The switch was interesting considering the Crush edged the Kansas City Brigade 45-42 while the SaberCats won by three touchdowns over Utah. San Jose travels to the Arizona Rattlers (2-7).

The Columbus Destroyers (4-4) moved down a slot to No. 8 after falling 34-32 to the Tampa Bay Storm. Columbus hosts the New York Dragons (2-6).

Kansas City (4-4), which remained in the No. 9 spot, plays at No. 11 Philadelphia (4-4), which dropped a place.

The Los Angeles Avengers (4-4) moved into the rankings at No. 10 thanks to a 75-71 victory over the Grand Rapids Rampage. Los Angeles visits Las Vegas (1-8).

Nashville (4-5), which fell a place to No. 12, is at Grand Rapids (2-6).
