Force knocks Dallas from top spot with 78-63 triumph
GEORGIA TOPS SCHUTT SPORTS AFL TOP 12 POLL

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – For the first time this season, the Dallas Desperados are not the No. 1 team in the Schutt Sports Top 12 Poll.

Schutt SportsThe Georgia Force (7-1) changed positions with Dallas (7-1) after beating the Desperados 78-63. Georgia received 22 first-place votes and 319 points by members of the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA).

Dallas totaled 288 points, just holding off the Chicago Rush (6-1), which remained No. 3 even after receiving the other five first-place votes and 284 points.

Georgia next travels to the No. 12 New Orleans VooDoo (4-4), which dropped five places following a 45-38 loss to the Austin Wranglers. Dallas hosts the No. 11 Nashville Kats (4-4), who entered the poll after defeating the Kansas City Brigade 49-40.

Chicago, a 75-54 winner over the Grand Rapids Rampage, is home against the No. 10 Philadelphia Soul (4-3). Philadelphia dropped five spots after a 44-21 loss to the Columbus Destroyers.

The San Jose SaberCats (4-3) jumped five slots to No. 4 thanks to a 73-49 victory over the Los Angeles Avengers (3-4), who dropped out of the poll after being ranked No. 12. San Jose hosts the No. 6 Utah Blaze (5-3), which fell two spots after losing 83-69 to the Arizona Rattlers.

The Colorado Crush (5-3), a 63-53 victor over the Las Vegas Gladiators, moved up three slots to No. 5. Colorado is at No. 9 Kansas City (4-3), which slid three spots.

Columbus (4-3), which gained four places to No. 7, is at the Tampa Bay Storm (1-6).

The Orlando Predators (4-3) moved up two spots to No. 8 after beating the New York Dragons 52-47. Orlando visits Las Vegas (1-7).
