Top-ranked Desperados travel to No. 2 Georgia this week
DALLAS TOPS SCHUTT SPORTS AFL TOP 12 POLL

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – A showdown will take place this week when the No. 1 Dallas Desperados play at the No. 2 Georgia Force.

Schutt SportsBoth teams maintained their rankings in the latest Schutt Sports Top 12 Poll, as voted on by members of the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA).

Dallas (7-0) received 23 of 24 first-place votes and 287 points after defeating the Philadelphia Soul 51-41. Georgia (6-1) was given the other first-place vote and totaled 257 points following its 69-68 victory over the Las Vegas Gladiators.

The Chicago Rush (5-1), which had the week off, remained No. 3. Chicago is at the Grand Rapids Rampage (2-4).

Moving up two places to No. 4 was the Utah Blaze (5-2), a 76-63 winner over the Los Angeles Avengers. Utah hosts the Arizona Rattlers (1-6).

Philadelphia (4-2), which dropped a spot to No. 5, visits the No. 11 Columbus Destroyers (3-3). Columbus held its position after defeating the Austin Wranglers 72-49.

The Kansas City Brigade (4-2) gained two places to No. 6 after beating Grand Rapids 52-41. Kansas City travels to the Nashville Kats (3-4).

Also moving up two spots was the New Orleans VooDoo (4-3), which is No. 7 following a 67-54 victory over the San Jose SaberCats. New Orleans is at Austin (2-5).

The Colorado Crush (4-3) moved up two slots as well, now at No. 8 thanks to a 49-48 victory over the New York Dragons. Colorado hosts Las Vegas (1-6).

San Jose (3-3), which fell four spots to No. 9, is home against No. 12 Los Angeles (3-3), which dropped five places.

The Orlando Predators (3-3) gained two spots to No. 10 after downing the Tampa Bay Storm 61-37. Orlando hosts New York (1-5).
