Desperados garner 20 of 21 first-place votes
DALLAS TOPS SCHUTT SPORTS AFL TOP 12 POLL

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – The Dallas Desperados easily remained No. 1 in the Schutt Sports Top 12 Poll, but for the first time in three weeks, they were not the unanimous choice in the vote by members of the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA).

Schutt SportsThey were close to unanimous, picking up 20 of 21 first-place votes and totaling 251 points. The No. 3 Chicago Rush received the other first-place vote.

Dallas (6-0) now is the only undefeated team, coming off a 53-51 victory over the Columbus Destroyers. The Desperados host the No. 4 Philadelphia Soul (4-1), which dropped two places following a 57-49 defeat by the Georgia Force. Georgia (5-1), which moved up two places to No. 2, is home against the Las Vegas Gladiators (1-5).

Chicago (5-1) kept its position after beating the Nashville Kats 66-54. The Rush is off this week.

The San Jose SaberCats (3-2) gained three spots to No. 5 after dismantling the Colorado Crush 72-44. San Jose is at the No. 9 New Orleans VooDoo (3-3), which fell two places after a 66-43 loss to the Tampa Bay Storm.

The Utah Blaze (4-2) moved down a position to No. 6 following a 65-64 defeat to the Austin Wranglers. Utah is home against the No. 7 Los Angeles Avengers (3-2), who gained four places thanks to a 64-45 victory over the Arizona Rattlers.

Moving up four places to No. 8 was the Kansas City Brigade (3-2), which routed Las Vegas 65-31. Kansas City hosts the Grand Rapids Rampage (2-3).

Colorado (3-3), which fell four spots to No. 10, travels to the New York Dragons (1-4). Columbus (2-3), which dropped two places to No. 11, hosts Austin (2-4).

Out of sight, out of mind might have cost the Orlando Predators (2-3), who fell two slots to No. 12 despite not playing.
