Desperados garner all 20 first-place votes
DALLAS TOPS SCHUTT SPORTS AFL TOP 12 POLL

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – The Dallas Desperados continued their stranglehold on the top spot of the Schutt Sports Top 12 Poll, picking up all 20 first-place votes by members of the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA).

Schutt SportsDallas, which edged the Austin Wranglers 68-64 to improve to 5-0, hosts the No. 9 Columbus Destroyers (2-2). Columbus moved up three places following a 62-61 victory over the Georgia Force.

Georgia's loss dropped it from No. 2 to No. 4. The Force (4-1) is at the No. 2 Philadelphia Soul (4-0). Philadelphia moved up a place thanks to a 65-60 victory over the New York Dragons.

The Chicago Rush (4-1) also moved up a spot, going to No. 3 after trouncing the Los Angles Avengers 66-31. Chicago visits the Nashville Kats (2-3), who fell out of the poll after a 55-48 loss to the Colorado Crush.

Holding steady was the Utah Blaze (4-1) at No. 5 after defeating the Las Vegas Gladiators 57-47. Utah travels to Austin (1-4).

Colorado (3-2), which advanced a slot to No. 6, is at the No. 8 San Jose SaberCats (2-2). San Jose gained three places following a 69-49 victory over the Tampa Bay Storm.

The New Orleans VooDoo (3-2) moved up three spots to No. 7 after downing the Orlando Predators 48-45. New Orleans plays at Tampa Bay (0-5).

Orlando (2-3), which dropped three places to No. 10, is off.

Los Angeles (2-2), which fell five slots to No. 11, hosts the Arizona Rattlers (1-4).

The Kansas City Brigade (2-2) entered the rankings at No. 12 thanks to a 62-61 victory over Arizona. Kansas City is at Las Vegas (1-4).
