Desperados garner all 23 first-place votes
DALLAS TOPS SCHUTT SPORTS AFL TOP 12 POLL

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – Dallas has been the No. 1 team in the Schutt Sports Top 12 Poll all five weeks, but for the first time, the Desperados are the unanimous choice.

Schutt SportsThey received all 23 first-place by members of the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) and 276 points after improving to 4-0 following a 70-49 victory over the Orlando Predators. Dallas hosts the Austin Wranglers (1-3), who fell out of the poll after losing 70-63 to the Nashville Kats.

The top four spots remained the same – No. 2 Georgia Force (4-0), No. 3 Philadelphia Soul (3-0) and No. 4 Chicago Rush (3-1).

Georgia, which edged the San Jose SaberCats 64-62, is at the Columbus Destroyers (1-2), which held its No. 12 position despite a 55-47 loss to Chicago. Philadelphia, a 71-47 winner over the Colorado Crush, travels to the New York Dragons (1-2). Chicago is home against the No. 6 Los Angeles Avengers (2-1), who moved up four spots thanks to a 48-36 victory over the New Orleans VooDoo.

The Utah Blaze (3-1) gained two places to No. 5 after trouncing the Grand Rapids Rampage 83-42. Utah is at the Las Vegas Gladiators (1-3).

Colorado (2-2) and Orlando (2-2) tied for No. 7. The Crush, which moved down a place, hosts Nashville (2-2), which moved into the poll at No. 9. Orlando, which dropped two slots, plays at No. 10 New Orleans (2-2), which fell a spot.

San Jose (1-2), which dropped three places to No. 11, is home against the Tampa Bay Storm (0-4).
