Desperados, Force keep hold atop AFLWA rankings
DALLAS TOPS SCHUTT SPORTS AFL TOP 12 POLL

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – The Dallas Desperados and Georgia Force separated themselves from the rest of the pack in the latest Schutt Sports Top 12 Poll, as voted on by members of the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA).

Schutt SportsBoth teams received the top two votes on all 20 ballots. Dallas (3-0) remained No. 1, taking in 19 first-place votes and 239 points, and Georgia (3-0) stayed at No. 2 with the remaining first-place vote and 221 points.

Dallas, which beat the Kansas City Brigade 66-54, is at the No. 5 Orlando Predators (2-1), who moved up three spots after defeating the Austin Wranglers 45-30. Georgia, a 61-47 winner over the Tampa Bay Storm, is home against the No. 8 San Jose SaberCats (1-1), who dropped two places after an open week.

The Philadelphia Soul (2-0) advanced a slot to No. 3 thanks to a 69-40 victory over the Grand Rapids Rampage. Philadelphia hosts the No. 6 Colorado Crush (2-1), which moved up a place after edging the Arizona Rattlers 56-54.

A 61-40 victory over the New York Dragons moved the Chicago Rush (2-1) up a spot to No. 4. Chicago is at the No. 12 Columbus Destroyers (1-1), who entered the poll after a bye.

The Utah Blaze (2-1) fell four places to No. 7 after a 69-55 loss to the Nashville Kats. Utah is home against Grand Rapids (1-2).

The New Orleans VooDoo (2-1) used a 59-31 victory over the Las Vegas Gladiators to move up two spots to No. 9. New Orleans hosts the No. 10 Los Angeles Avengers (1-1), who advanced two places after a bye.

Austin (1-2), which was demoted two slots to No. 11, hosts Nashville (1-2).
