Georgia QB sets single-season TD pass record
GREISEN IS AFLWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – Throwing for eight touchdown passes to break the AFL's all-time record in a season, Georgia quarterback Chris Greisen is the AFL Writers Association's Player of the Week for Week 16.

The first-year starter delivered scoring passes on the Force's first seven possessions Friday night in a win over Southern Division-rival Orlando, and now has 111 on the season.

The Force can win the top seed in the National Conference by defeating New Orleans on Sunday and having Dallas lose to Colorado on Monday night.

It is the second time this season Greisen has won the award, the last time coming in Week 1.

The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football League. The association will name an AFL Player of the Week each week throughout the 2007 season. The AFLWA has presented this weekly award since its inception during the 2004 season. Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and executive director.
