The wide receiver/defensive back caught 10 passes for 130 yards
and four touchdowns in the Desperados' 53-51 victory over the Columbus
Destroyers. His first two touchdown catches helped rally Dallas
from a 37-7 deficit in the second quarter, and his 26-yard scoring
grab in the fourth quarter put the Desperados ahead, at 43-40.
Pettis also showed his versatility, recovering an onside kick
to set up kicker Todd Sievers' game-winning 16-yard field goal.
He was effective on defensive and special teams as well, recording
5.5 tackles and returning six kicks for 136 yards.
This is the third time in four weeks a Dallas player has won
this award.
