LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – With a franchise-record five rushing touchdowns and 41 yards on 13
carries, Dallas Desperados fullback
Josh White is the Arena Football
League Writers Association's Player of the Week for Week 3.

The Desperados, who have been a near-consensus pick in the Schutt
Sports Top 12 Poll all season long, have won all three of their games this
season by 12 points or more.
This week, despite having the flu, White led the Desperados, including
on a 7-yard run with less than five minutes remaining to preserve a
66-54 win over Kansas City.
White, who also plays linebacker, scored the first two touchdowns of
the game to give Dallas a 14-0 lead with 3:42 remaining in the first
quarter. He also scored two touchdowns in the third quarter, the second of
which gave the Desperados a 45-34 lead with 28 seconds to go.
The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national
organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football
League. The association will name an AFL Player of the Week each
week throughout the 2007 season. The AFLWA has presented this weekly
award since its inception during the 2004 season. Mark Anderson

executive director.
