Quarterback garners honor for second time in five weeks
COLORADO'S DUTTON IS
AFLWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – The Colorado Crush combination of quarterback John Dutton and offensive specialist Damian Harrell continues to be the league's most dominant.

After throwing nine touchdown passes, including five to Harrell, Dutton was named the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) Player of the Week.

This is the third time in five weeks that Dutton or Harrell has received this honor and the fourth time overall.

As for Dutton, he completed 29 of 39 passes for 345 yards in the Crush's 75-54 victory over the Orlando Predators.

"The receivers and I had a meeting this week," Dutton told the Denver Post. "We knew we were in for a challenge. We know we're capable of being the No. 1 offense in the league."

The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football League. Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and executive director.
