Offensive specialist is season's first two-time winner
COLORADO'S HARRELL IS
AFLWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – Colorado Crush offensive specialist Damian Harrell became the season's first two-time winner of the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) Player of the Week award after a spectacular performance against the Kansas City Brigade.

He caught 14 passes for 196 yards and five touchdowns. Plus, Harrell recovered an onside kick with 2 seconds left to preserve the 55-49 victory.

He appears to be a lock to break the AFL record of 46 touchdown catches set by five players, most recently Siaha Burley last season with the Arizona Rattlers. Harrell, who has 61 consecutive games with at least one touchdown reception, has 43 TD catches.

"I don't chase stats or anything," Harrell told the Denver Post. "I just want to get back to Las Vegas."

The ArenaBowl is in Las Vegas, and Colorado is the defending champion.

The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football League. Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and executive director.
