Offensive specialist catches 6 TD passes, returns kickoff for another
GEORGIA'S JACKSON IS
AFLWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – Offensive specialist Chris Jackson set a Georgia Force record with seven touchdowns, and was named the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) Player of the Week.

He caught 10 passes for 124 yards with six touchdowns in the Force's 61-51 victory over the Tampa Bay Storm. Jackson also returned a kickoff for a score.

His 42 points broke the club record of 36 set last season by Derek Lee.

Jackson has paid dividends ever since being acquired in a trade with the Grand Rapids Rampage last season. The move helped give Georgia the AFL's best record (11-5), and the Force went on to appear in the ArenaBowl before losing to the Colorado Crush.

Also, Jackson has the distinction of being the league's only Rookie of the Year (2000) and Offensive Player of the Year (2003).

The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football League. Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and executive director.
