Quarterback throws 10 TD passes in wild win over Utah
NEW YORK'S GARCIA IS
AFLWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – New York Dragons quarterback Aaron Garcia threw 10 touchdown passes, including the game-winner, and is the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) Player of the Week.

His final TD pass occurred with 22 seconds left, a 26-yarder to Mike Horacek to give the Dragons a record-breaking 84-81 victory over the Utah Blaze.

Garcia was nearly perfect, completing 24 of 26 passes for 354 yards. He has thrown 20 touchdown passes in three games, and his total in this game fell short of his league record of 11 in a 2001 contest.

The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football League. Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and executive director.
