Receiver/Linebacker helps Rush knock off Crush
CHICAGO'S MOLDEN IS
AFLWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – The Chicago Rush sent a strong message to the league over the weekend, and wide receiver/linebacker Etu Molden was the one who spoke the loudest, earning the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) Player of the Week.

Molden caught five touchdown passes and returned an onside kickoff for another score to lead the Rush to a 75-51 victory over Colorado that likely will knock the Crush out of No. 1 in the AFLWA Top 8 Poll. The six total touchdowns set a club record.

"I didn't get in the end zone last week," Molden told the Chicago Sun-Times. "But you get nothing but a confidence boost when everything clicks."

His play improved the Rush to 7-4 and within distance of Colorado (8-3) for first place in the Central Division.

The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football League. Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and executive director. The association's website is www.aflwa.com.
