Offensive specialist scores five times, including game-winner
LAS VEGAS' NASH IS AFLWA
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – The Arizona Rattlers chose to play Las Vegas Gladiators offensive specialist Marcus Nash man-to-man much of the second half, and he made them pay.

Nash caught three second-half touchdown passes, including the game-winner with 2 seconds left, and was named the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) Player of the Week.

"Any time you're going to play Nash man-to-man, he's going to win more times than not," Gladiators quarterback Clint Dolezel said.

For the game, Nash caught nine passes for 160 yards with five touchdowns, including a 16-yard pass in the closing seconds to defeat Arizona 66-63.

He was last season's AFLWA Player of the Year, and was named the league's official Offensive Player of the Year.

The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football League. Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and executive director. The association's website is www.aflwa.com.
