Arizona QB gets second honor in four weeks
ARIZONA'S BONNER NAMED
AFLWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA)Sherdrick Bonner threw seven touchdown passes and rushed for another to lead the Arizona Rattlers over the San Jose SaberCats, and he was named the Player of the Week by the board of the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA).

Bonner completed 20 of 31 passes for 238 yards and did not throw an interception. With the Rattlers down 21-10, he ran for a 1-yard touchdown and completed a 9-yard scoring pass to Orshawante Bryant in the final 1:43 to put Arizona up 24-21 at halftime.

Behind Bonner, the Rattlers (9-5) used a 35-0 run to knock off top-ranked San Jose (10-3).

This is the second time in four weeks Bonner has claimed this honor. The only other player to repeat is New York Dragons quarterback Aaron Garcia.

The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football League. Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and executive director.
