Dragons' QB garners second weekly honor
NEW YORK'S GARCIA NAMED
AFLWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAS VEGAS (AFLWA) – Despite suffering a loss, New York Dragons quarterback Aaron Garcia became the first repeat Player of the Week, as selected by the board of the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA).

Garcia led the league with 330 yards this week, completing 26 of 36 passes with eight touchdowns and no interceptions. However, the Dragons were victimized by two critical fumbles in a 65-55 loss to the Columbus Destroyers.

Garcia's numbers were too difficult to overlook, however. He also was honored in Week 5.

The AFLWA, founded at the start of the 2004 season, is a national organization made up of media members who cover the Arena Football League. Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is the AFLWA's founder and executive director.
